Inpatient Detox Treatment Center in Georgia

Detoxification (detox) is the first step towards achieving long-term sobriety.

During medical detox from drugs and alcohol, the harmful toxins from substance use are removed from your body, returning you to a place of health and comfort. From here, you can tackle the physical, emotional and mental barriers preventing you from maintaining sobriety.

Though withdrawal symptoms will likely occur, a medical detox program is designed to provide comfort during the sometimes painful acute withdrawal process.

Through medication stabilization and daily individual therapy sessions, Atlanta Detox Center clinicians and staff will implement a detox program to address your specific needs. Whether you require detox from alcohol, heroin, prescription drugs or a combination thereof, our team works around the clock to ensure safety and comfort.

Our clinical staff will first assess your strengths and needs in order to build and implement your customized treatment plan. You will be assessed on a number of factors, most importantly being the severity of your alcohol or drug withdrawal symptoms.

Our staff will assess you based on what drug or drugs you were using, dose and duration of use,  and whether you are facing withdrawal from multiple drugs. We will also take a thorough medical history as this information is critical to creating you a comprehensive, individualized treatment plan. We will work around your needs.

Stabilization refers to the monitoring and upkeep of your physical state. Withdrawal is sometimes uncomfortable, and in some cases dangerous. Our team will be available to you around the clock to ensure that your safety and well-being are taken care of.

Medical detox should not be attempted in the home; medical supervision by professionals is vital in order to stabilize you medically, and deal with withdrawal.

In our care, you will have access to a team of dedicated professionals at every step, monitoring vital signs, administering medication as needed and guiding you through the first steps to recovery.

Beginning Treatment

As you complete the detox process, our team will move forward to treat the root causes of your addiction. On intake, our staff will work with you, and your family when appropriate, to assess your biological, psychological and social needs, in order to develop an individualized plan for you.

Our staff will help guide you as you begin to build a foundation for long term recovery. You will be exposed to some of the best therapeutic modalities, that you will explore in further treatment.

Whatever the most appropriate next level of care is, our team is committed to supporting you as you take further steps towards freedom.

A Focus on Wellness

While you are in treatment, you are healing mentally, spiritually and physically. You may be dealing with acute withdrawal as well as malnutrition and discomfort.

Food is served on-site, and healthy snacks will be provided. Case managers will work with you on nutritional education and creating healthy meal ideas and shopping lists.

Aftercare Planning

The greatest goal of our program is to give each individual the tools and strategies to eliminate or deal with harmful stresses and triggers that have affected their lives. We try to maximize the amount of time you are in safe, secure, recovery-focused community. Stresses will remain out there, but we will help you build the ability to deal with them, and find peace and fulfillment while living clean and sober. Our medical team, case managers and therapists will be there to advise you through the next steps.

Case Management

Our team is your advocate. Our goal is to help you clear the obstacles or roadblocks you face during early recovery. From the major to the minor, our team will work with you on legal, financial, professional or other issues. We will help thrive in early recovery.

Safe Environment

You will have access to a structured, safe, secure environment for hope and healing. Every individual in treatment is required to be sober and focused on recovery. With active participation you can begin to create and establish productive daily routines, and work on the life skills that you will need for the next steps in early recovery.

Relapse Prevention

We know that as problems begin to be resolved there may be new road blocks that appear. Aftercare planning will focus heavily on providing you with the insight, tools and strategies to deal with these issues in a healthy, positive way.
